John Grieb joined RCG in January 2026 and serves as the firm’s Chief Legal Officer. In this role, he oversees all legal matters for the organization and provides strategic legal and business guidance in support of RCG’s continued growth.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Grieb represented RCG for more than twenty years as outside counsel. During that time, he was involved in nearly every significant RCG transaction and advised the organization across a wide range of legal and business matters. His longstanding relationship with RCG has been characterized by a collaborative partnership rather than a traditional outside-counsel engagement.
Before joining RCG, Mr. Grieb practiced law at McGuireWoods LLP in Atlanta, where he focused on complex real estate and corporate transactions. He represented institutional owners and investors in their real estate investments and holdings across all asset classes. His experience includes representing REITs, private funds, investment advisers, private equity firms, and public companies in connection with equity investments in real estate. During his tenure at McGuireWoods, he began serving as RCG’s longtime outside legal counsel.
